ABOUT THE CONSORTIUM

CHAIR-India brings together an international interdisciplinary team of experts with a range of multidisciplinary expertise, appropriate to the multifaceted aims of the project.

We have expertise in geographical information systems, air pollution assessment, environmental, cardiovascular and pulmonary epidemiology, social determinants of health, advanced applications of biostatistics. We have a strong track record of collaboration together in various constellations and years of experience in several other multi-center collaborations. 

The work is led and coordinated centrally through the Institute of Environmental Medicine, Karolinska Institute, Stockholm, Sweden (PI Petter Ljungman) in close collaboration with the Centre for Chronic Disease Control, Delhi, India (PI Dorairaj Prabhakaran), Centre for Health Analytics Research and Trends, Trivedi School of Biosciences, Ashoka University (PI Poornima Prabhakaran) and Department of Environmental Health, Harvard T H Chan School of Public Health (PI Joel Schwartz).
